It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas E. Lansdale of Independence, Missouri, born in Oildale, California, who passed away on May 13, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle F. Lansdale and Betty J. Lansdale (Bond); and his brother Doyle Lansdale, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Ann McCarty) of Independence; his children, Joshua Lansdale (Jennifer) of Blue Springs and Andrea Shipley of Kansas City; his stepson Bryon Gillespie of Grain Valley; his daughter-in-law Angie Gillespie of Grain Valley; his grandchildren, Frankie Lansdale, Ayden Lansdale, Brinkley Lansdale, Nathan Gillespie, Mason Gillespie, Aleasha Murphy, Landon Murphy, Lauren Bunch and Lindsey Gillespie; his sister Brenda Austin (Cliff) of Independence; and his close friend Bailey. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner's Children's Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
