With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Elefson of Independence, Missouri, born in Denver, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Burrell Shupe and Doris N. Shupe (Coven); her brothers, David and Bruce Shupe; her former husband Richard "Vern" Elefson; her son Ted Elefson; and her grandson Edward "Ted" Avery.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Huseby (Jim) of Oak Grove, MO, Beth Avery of Independence, MO, Amy Sharier (Dennis) of Independence, MO and Tom Elefson (Peggy) of Independence, MO. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
