He was predeceased by: his son Donald Eugene (Dunkin); his former wife Ethel Marie Sutton; and his sons, Gene Dunkin and Tom Dunkin. He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Dunkin; his wife Shirley Dunkin of Independence; his son James Dunkin (Cheryl) of Garnet, Kansas; his sister Betty Jo Sutton of Tracy, California; his grandchildren, Angie Halteman (Brad), Jamie Lo Piccolo (Nick), Emily Carney (Paul), Thomas Dunkin (Cyndy), Tiffany Dunkin, Derek Dunkin (Amanda), Dustin Dunkin, Matthew Dunkin and Sara Beam; and also Vickie.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Stover Cemetery.
