He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy; his sister Marilyn Anderson; his son Michael Johnson; his stepson Dennis Wilson; and his great grandchild Dennis Burd.
He is survived by: his daughter Meredith Ivey of Smithville; and his stepdaughters, Lorena Rogers (Danny) of Independence, Vickie Smith of Ruston and Donna Clark (David) of Sibley. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
