He was predeceased by: his parents, Elza Matson and Ada Matson (Baker); and his parents-in-law, Harley and Sylvia Flanagan (Bryan). He is survived by: his wife Virginia Flanagan; his sons, Kevin Matson (Loretta) and Kerry Matson (Wesley); his grandchildren, Brandon Matson, Brittany Rohrs (Matson), Samantha (Fletcher) and Sullivan (Luke); his great grandchildren, Sutton, Wesson and Henry; and his sister Jean Louise Pirkle (Matson). He is also survived by numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roberson Funeral Home (305 N Broadway St, Princeton, MO 64673). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St Paul Cemetery.
Curtis Eugene Matson of Independence, Missouri, died at the Independence Manor Care Center on Friday, January 31, 2025, after a long battle with dementia/Alzheimer's.
