He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Maib and Kathleen Maib (Morris); and his wife Bette Lou Barker. He is survived by: his friend Kenny; his son Robert "Bob" Maib (Gayle) of Independence, MO; his grandsons, Joshua Maib (Lauren Morgan) and Jared Maib (Natalie); and his great grandchildren, Montgomery "Monty" Maib and Jack Maib. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Preferred Hospice or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
