As Cheryl Elaine departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Cheryl Elaine. Though Cheryl Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Chatman and Edna Chatman (Boyd); her husband Don Cartner; her stepfather Everett Best; and her sister Phyllis Gillespie.
She is survived by: her son Eric (Sarah Cartner); her granddaughter Hannah Cartner; her brothers, Wally (Stephanie Chatman) and Joe (Jennifer Chatman); and her brother-in-law Bob Gillespie of Sioux City.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at the Stoney Creek Hotel (18011 Bass Pro Dr, Independence, MO 64055).
