It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Kay Patton of Independence, Missouri, born in Orrick, Missouri, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Coats and Dorothy Coats (Woods); her husband Herbert Coffman; and her son Jerry Patton. She is survived by: her brothers, J. Fred Coats (Regina), Robert D. Coats (Teri) and Kelly Joe Coats (Coleen). She is also survived by grandchildren; dear nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.
