Bernard August Kanies Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard August Kanies of Independence, Missouri, born in Elma, Iowa, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, August Kanies and Mary Kanies. He is survived by: his wife Aleeta Kanies (Lea); his children, Timothy Kanies (Pamela) of Harrisonville, MO and Krista Kanies of Belton, MO; and his grandchildren, Brenden Kanies (Jamie), Bryant Kanies (Olivia), Rebecca Comer (Dakota) and Brock Kanies. He is also survived by three great granddaughters.
