It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Thomas of Independence, Missouri, born in Spencer, Iowa, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Sixta and Lucille Sixta (Schomburg); her husband Paul Thomas; and her sister Joanne Phillips. She is survived by: her children, Steven Thomas (Melissa) and Ellen Jones (Raymond); her grandchildren, Kalie, Samantha, Kari and Paul; and her sister Mary Olson. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
