He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Bessie Mae Travers of Fairfield, Illinois.; his grandparents, Jacob and Carrie Travers; his wife Sharon Baker; his daughter Stephanie Chapman (Steve) of Independence; his grandchildren, Nicholas Arnold, Cade Arnold, Andi Chapman, Kristen Johnston and Justin Shelton; his great grandchildren, Kendall Lynn, Ellie Mae and Braxton Alan; his son Stephen Troy Shelton; and his siblings, James Shelton, Norman Shelton, William Shelton (Jack), John Shelton (Corkey), Nancy Keith and Mary Brown. He was also cherished by his family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project.
