The passing of Allen L. McHenry of Independence, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Paul and Laverna Maxine McHenry (Covington); and his brother Jerry McHenry. He is survived by: his wife Edna Lucille McHenry (Corum); his children, Shane McHenry (Kristine) of Shenandoah, Shawn McHenry of Crownpoint, Shannon McHenry and Pamela McHenry-Barrett (Doug Barrett) of Independence, Missouri; his brothers, David McHenry (Viola) of West Fork and Brent McHenry (Christine) of Higginsville, Missouri; his sister-in-law Sue McHenry of Belton, Missouri; his grandchildren, Ashley Pointer, Dakota Barrett, Kirstin Baker and Diedre Jenkins; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Evan, Enzo, Kellen, Easton and Fallon. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wallace Funeral Home (422 N Lake St, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080).
