He is survived by: his close friend Mona Doucette; his children, Shelley Zoph (Kirk), Joe Henderson (Shirley), Steve and Jeff Henderson (Judy); his grandchildren, Matthew Henderson (Amanda), Michael Henderson (Jordan), Marcus Henderson, Casey Stewart (Taylor), Alyssa Eaton (Trevor), Courtney Meyer (Ryan), Chloe Henderson and Alec Zoph; his great grandchildren, Briley, Addison, Oliver, Liam and Halle; his sister Anne Amero; his siblings-in-law, Ursula O'Toole, Susan Murray and Thomas Henkes; and his wife Mona DoucetteSpecial Friend.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Walter's Honor may be made to the Disabled Veterans, St. Jude Children's Hospital or to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
