It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Flavian John Volmert (Iberia, Missouri), who passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Volmert and Catherine Volmert (Jurgensmeyer); and his sisters, Alice Stroyick and Lorraine Kliethermes. He is survived by: his wife Jean Engetschwiler; his children, Joseph Volmert (Lindalee) of Columbia, Sharon Procter (Alan Procter) of Centertown, Ruth Gardner (Doug) of Bluffton, SC, Judy Volmert (David Phillips) of Snohomish, WA, John Volmert (Wendy) of Goose Creek, SC and James Volmert (Catherine) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Mandy Garner (Mark Landrum), Jacob Procter, Zachary Volmert, Rachel Volmert, Travis Volmert, Mitchell Volmert, Adam Phillips, Mike Volmert and Haley Volmert; and his siblings, Marilyn Otto and Raymond Volmert. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Anthony Cemetery.
