He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Lloyd and Faye Batterson Purdin; and his wife Carol Barnes. He is survived by: his daughters, Opal Mae McCaffetry (Ron) of Quincy, IL and Annette Faye Whiles (Bill) of Edina, MO; and his grandchildren, Ashley Scankiewicz (Danny), Katie Jones and Clayton Whiles. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
