He was predeceased by: his parent Norris Scott; his former wife Peggy Schaeffer; and his daughter Lucinda Nute-Ellis. He is survived by: his parent Nancy Kathryn Preston (Chism); his son James Cindy of Ava, MO; his stepson Kevin of Florida; his grandchildren, Lucian, Reggie, Mike, Bryan, Jimmy and Brandi; his great grandchild Marli; and also Wife Cindy of Ava, MO. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
