He was predeceased by: his father John E. Eckenrod. He is survived by: his mother Rose Eckenrod (Ward) of Attica; and his siblings, Michael Eckenrod (Vicki) of Attica, Chris Eckenrod of Norwalk, David Eckenrod of Attica and Dana Smith (Alan) of Hunnewell, MO. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
