He is survived by: his wife Kathy Benedek-Brooks; his children, Vernon, Shannon, Jerall, Rachael and Ashley; his son-in-law Rece; his grandchildren, Avery, Wyatt, Ben, Kuhli, Mariah, Logan, Schuyler, Lyric and Tristin; his great grandchild Jackson; his siblings, Kathy (Gary), Carreen (Ralph), David (Lisa), Mitch (Laura) and Matt (Kristy); his siblings-in-law, Julie (John), Rosie (Gary), Melinda, John (Naomi), Tom (Lynn) and Dan (Robin); his aunt Marie; and his uncle Norval. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St Jude Children's Hospital or American Diabetes Association.
