With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie Joan Alexander of Houstonia, Missouri, who passed away on December 14, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Dial and Mabel Sue Dial (Harvey); her daughter Kathy McDonald; and her siblings, Mary Sue Jefferies, William Paul Dial and James Eugene Dial.
She is survived by: her husband Wilbur "Bud" Alexander; her children, Vicky Saylor (Terry) of Sweet Springs, Becky Reid (Russ Zimmerman) of Sweet Springs, Ricky Alexander (Tosha) of Concordia and Tony Alexander (Jennifer) of Houstonia; her son-in-law Larry McDonald of Lake; her grandchildren, Casey Baker (Kyle), Troy Saylor, Stacy Marlin (Chris), Travis Reid (Whitney), Nathan Reid (Bethany), Jodie Akers (Steven), Emmett Paul Alexander, Will Alexander (Lynn), Cole Alexander (Destiny), Caitlin Alexander, Tiffany Edwards (Jordan), Kasey Elling and Breanna Elling; her great grandchildren, Nolan, Reece, Mason Baker, Ailyn McDonald, Hayleigh Mattes (Bryce), Kendall, Elijah Marlin, Easton, Emerson, Alaythia, Eliyanah, Micah, Conn Alexander, Jasper Parker, Felicity, Corben Akers, Charlotte Rose, Lincoln Alexander, Asher Huddleston, Oaklynn and Hudson Reade; her sisters-in-law, Elsie Simmons and Helen Pummill; and her grandsons, Deven McDonald and Chantry Alexander.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Heckart Funeral Home & Cremation Services (903 S Ohio Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Show Me Christian Youth Home or Range Line Presbyterian Church in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
