It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Wood (Houston, Missouri), born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Wood and Dorothy Wood (Hines); his godparents, Robert Jabben and Alberta Jabben (Hines); his parents-in-law, Lloyd Ayers and Mary Ayers; his nephews, Jonathon Young and Eric McGuire; and his great-nephew Charles McGuire.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Ayers; his sisters, Jo Seip (Mark) of Johnston, IA and Jane (Jeremy) of Rogersville, MO; and his close friends, Willy Adey, Mike Blake, Brigitte Anderson, Don Collins, Gaylen, Jean Pearson and Bernard Bargfrede. He is also survived by siblings which he considered his brothers and sisters; many of nieces and nephews.
Covid was responsible for closing the dining room and since then the business has operated as carry out only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Richard's name may be made to the Tyrone Freewill Baptist Cemetery, Houston Rural Fire Department, or any charity of your choice.
