She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Roy and Nola Katherine Sterling (Barton); her son Dennis Dean Hatton, Jr.; her husband Dennis Dean Hatton, Sr.; her daughters, Katherine Louise McDonald and Christina Joann Phillips; her grandchildren, Kevin McDonald, Eric McDonald and Isabel Phillips; and also Dennis Dean Hatton, Sr..
