He was predeceased by: his parents, Ily Jane Taylor Yeary and James Preston Yeary; and his siblings, Clarence Smith, Jessie Lawrence Smith, Sherrill Smith, Alan Smith, Blanche King and Gladys Boatright.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, La-Gina Williams (Ricky) and Steve Boatright. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
