He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie James and Mittie Williams James; and his siblings, Geneva Perry, Bernice Johnson, Ralph "Sonny" James and Sandra Sue Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Christian James; his daughter Candi Pearson (Steve); his grandson Hunter Marshall of Hornersville; his brother-in-law Jack Reynolds (Ark) of Searcy; and his sisters, Diane Whitney and Alice Reynolds of St. Louis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
