It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mervel Jones of Hornersville, Missouri, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Jones; his parents, Floyd Cooper Jones Sr. and Azalee Biggs Jones; and his siblings, Floyd Cooper Jones, Jr., James Jones, Alice Joy Harrison and Violet Jacqueline Christian.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Miller and Nancy Robitsch; his granddaughters, Jennifer (Daniel), Kathleen and Candace (Josiah); his great grandchild Hannah; and his siblings, Larry Jones (Joan), Phillip Jones and Charlotte Bounds (Steve).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dunklin Memorial Gardens Cemetery (1724 Southwest Dr, Kennett, MO 63857).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Senath-Hornersville Supt. Office, PO Box 370, Senath, MO. 63876 for the Champ and Louise Jones Memorial Scholarship given to students seeking vocational training after high school.
