He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Stites and Lela Stites (Garvitt); his wife Norma Rea DeMott; and his brothers, Robert and Kenneth Stites.
He is survived by: his children, Tina West (David Nisley) and Todd Stites (Mary Jane); his grandchildren, Casey West (Jenna), Logan West (Kara), Shelby and Madison Stites; and his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Layne, Stella, Austin and Morgan.
