He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Glawson and Willetta "Bea" Glawson (Hines); and his brother Gary Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Genny Glawson; his children, Gregory Glawson (Joanne) and Pamela Glawson-Songer (Robert) of Overland Park, KS; and his stepchildren, Steven Baker (Carolyn), Ronald Baker (Theresa), Rebecca Swanson (Cliff) and Peggy Thoenen (Jeff). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Central Missouri Honor Flight, Shriners Children's Hospital, or Union Hill Baptist Church.
