We bid farewell to Mary Louise Atkin of Holts Summit, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Mary Louise touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lundy Bailey and Almeta Bailey; her husband Jerry D. Atkin; and her siblings, Shirley and Carl.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Whorton (Tim) of Platte City, Randy Atkin (Judi) of Linn and Lori James (Terry) of Jefferson City; her grandchildren, Andy Ruprecht (Jennifer) of Branson, Joe Ruprecht (Susan) of South Carolina, Carly James of Dallas, Connor James of Jefferson City and Dawn Pierce of Westphalia; and her sisters-in-law, Belinda Atkin and Marvis Atkin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors (2613 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
