He is survived by: his wife Sally Sharp; and his siblings, Terry Dean, Larry Dean (Helen), Gerald Dean (Ellen), Harold Shorter (Vicki), Harry Shorter, Jr. (Tina), Michael Dean (Tracy), Kaile Dean (Ellen), Christie Davis, Kimberly Reese (Harold) and Vivian Kimbrough (John).
He died at the age of 69 after a month-long illness and complications brought on by COVID.
