With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gary Lee Wakefield of Hollister, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gary left this world on January 9, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland "Bud" Garth Wakefield and Beatrice Augusta Wakefield (Kewit); his brothers, Roger and Maurice Wakefield; and his son-in-law Jim Price.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn of Hollister; his children, Travis Wakefield (Valerie) of Hollister, Renee Price (Ron Hoffmann) of Wildwood and Heather Fisher (Chrys) of West Plains; his grandchildren, Heather Pack, Nathaniel Wakefield, Calvin Wakefield, Stetson Price (Sheila), Coleman Price, Owen Fisher and George Fisher; his great grandchildren, Kaitlinn Wakefield, Robbie Wakefield, Melody Wakefield, Johnny Pack and Jackson Pack; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Wakefield (Wakefield), Audrey Erickson, Mary Gilbert, Ron Erickson, Michael Gilbert and Daniel Gilbert.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church (350 State Dr, Hollister, MO 65672). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Pine Top Cemetery.
