He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Willis and Doris Willis (DesCombes); his son Robert Willis; and his sister Carolyn Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Willis; his children, Susan Burr (Earl) of Hollister, Missouri, Scott Willis (Lori) of Santa Clarita and David Willis of Ventura, California; his brother John Willis (Sharon) of Murphy, Texas; and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Willis of Grenada Hills, California.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
