He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ray and Josephine Carter (Kelly); and his siblings, Charlie Carter (Shirley), Jack Carter (Dorothy), Mary Ragsdale (Harold), Betty Umstattd (Bud) and Ruthie Mitchell (Raymond).
He is survived by: his children, Rob Carter (Suzi) of Moberly and Kelly Burger (Kevin) of Moberly; his grandchildren, Lindsey Forbis, Rachel Reed (Steve), Halli Patrick (Tyler) and Abbi Fowlkes (Tahlor); and his great grandchildren, Harper, Karley, Adlyn, Conner, Carter, Marli and Lainey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
