He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Orlena; his wife Aleta Jean Moon; and his siblings, Elwood Hayes and Mary Francis Hayes-Hopper.
He is survived by: his children, William Dean Hayes (Barbara) of Royse City, TX, Janet Hedricks (Ed) of Holden, MO and Sandra Dougherty (Les) of Wichita, KS; and his grandchildren, Kelley Holley, Heather Butler (Perry), Justin Hedricks (Yonhui), Spencer Dougherty (Allyson) and Quintin Dougherty (Lindsey).
