He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Glenn Brooks and Wanda Brooks (Johnson) of Warrensburg; his wife Denise Jasper; his children, Heath Brooks (Ashley) of Holden, Shane Brooks of Holden and Heather Brooks Caughern of Holden; his siblings, Norman Brooks of Custer, Glenda Beaty (Ted) of Ashland and Marsha Roberts of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Haley, Addison, Maddison and Issaac; his brother Ron; and his son-in-law Jeremy Caughern.

In Lieu of Flowers the family suggests memorials to the Kidney Foundation in Les' name.
