He is survived by: his parents, Lawrence Hobbs and Dixie Hobbs; his wife Neva; his sons, Jerry (Jodi) and Brian (Janine); his grandchildren, Megan Hawks (Brandon), Michael Hobbs, Jamie Economides (David), Daniel Hunt (Brittany) and Allie Longenecker; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Gabriel, Samuel, Josiah, Gideon, Lydia Economides, Peyton, Savannah, Grayson Hunt and Jackson Hawks; his brother Franklin Hobbs (Deborah); and his brother-in-law Virgil Ballard (Susan).
