He was predeceased by: his parents, Mont Strate and Mary Strate (Davis); his wife Melinda O'Neal; his sister Ruth Gardner; and his brothers-in-law, Don Gardner, Roy Woodring, Greg Kuntz and Curt Warren.
He is survived by: his daughter Terry Sisk (Glenn) of Holden; his grandsons, Josh Sisk and Jake Sisk (Kolette); his great grandchildren, Caroline and Conor Sisk; his son Steve Strate; his sisters, Elinor Woodring and Marilyn Kuntz; his sister-in-law Violet Warren; his nephew Curtis; and his niece Maggie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Gene's love of antiques, and in lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to CAFMCO, PO Box 17, Chilhowee, MO 64733.
