It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jean Raber of Holden, Missouri, who passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Walters and Ona Mae Walters (Hoover); her sister Janice Simmermon; her sons, Brian Gudde and Russell Raber; her great grandchild Brian Ray Van Meter; her son-in-law John Adams; and her grandson-in-law Jay Van Meter.
She is survived by: her husband Sam Raber; her sister JoAnn Meek; her children, Jim Gudde (Kay), Sherri Christian (Garland), Jennifer Adams, Julie Getz and Catherine Ray; and her grandchildren, Tracey Van Meter, Brandon Gudde (Gabrielle), Michael Christian (Danelle), Katy Stewart (Kevin), Sara Carter (Kit), Phillip Gudde (Casie), Courtney Rog (Chris), Kyle Hanna, Jeremy Flaspohler, Jason Flaspohler, Mattie Wilson (Matt) and Mitchell Williams (Shannon). She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Holden United Methodist Church (605 E 10th St, Holden, MO 64040). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
