He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Eakins and Rachel Eakins of Kennett, Missouri.; his wife Ira Sue Eakins; and his sisters, Joan and May Belle.
He is survived by: his son Jim Eakins (Donna) of Barnhart, MO; and his grandsons, Austin Eakins and Cody Eakins of Barnhart, MO.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Mortuary (6300 State Rte 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016, USA). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (6300 State Rte 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016, USA). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
