She was predeceased by: her father Gilbert Simms; and her husband John T. DeGonia. She is survived by: her daughters, Diana Kay Schaffer of Florida and Deena Amy Kausler (James) of Hillsboro; her grandchildren, A. J. Kausler (Baileigh) and Maggie Kausler; her great grandchild Lucy Kausler; her sister Linda Werner (late Kenneth) of Florida; and her sister-in-law Delores Hulett (late Bill) of Waterloo, IL. She is also survived by family members, friends.
