He is survived by: his wife Sonja Shinn; his children, Maggie Semington of Galesburg, Joshua Shinn (Dannielle) of Eureka, Kristalyn Shinn of Maize and Chad Shinn (Brittany) of Belleville; his grandchildren, Tanner Shinn, Tyson Shinn, Ashlyn Newingham, Nadya Sperry, Josiah Newingham and Hattie Shinn; and his brothers, Ivan Shinn (Charmaine) and Alex Shinn (Jean).
