He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hayes and Laura Hayes; and his siblings, Floyd Hayes, Olen Hayes, Homer Hayes, Herschel Hayes, Jackie Hayes and Fern Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hayes; his children, Penney Reckerd (Bob), Darrell Hayes, David Hayes (Gail) and Carl Hayes (Karen); his grandchildren, Juley, Jamie, Crystal, Nathan, Jared, Mark, Christina, Jessie, Clayton and Samantha; and his brother Eual Hayes (Brenda). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
