He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Buxton and Lily Buxton; his wife Martha Buxton; his children, Steven Buxton, Melvin Buxton (Kathy), Susan Thompson (Rodney) and Karen Theiss (James); his siblings, Elmer Buxton, Joy Buxton and Virgil Buxton (Marlene); his sons, Michael Buxton (Lorraine) and Kenneth Buxton; and his granddaughter Nicole S. Buxton. He was also cherished by grandchildren, twenty-one (21) great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made on behalf of Ray Buxton to Alzheimer's Association, http://www.act.alz.org.
