He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Summers and Juanita Summers (Cooper); and his siblings, Robert Summers, Keith Summers, Dean Summers, Kay Wood and Erma Jean George.

He is survived by: his son Kevin Wayne Summers Jr. of Lexington; and his siblings, Johnnie Summers (Bobbie) of Higginsville, Russell Summers (Joanne) of St. Joseph, Michael Summers (Lori) of Richmond, Missouri and Ada Jo Summers of Higginsville. He is also survived by two granddaughters and one grandson.
