It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Waneta Franklin (Higginsville, Missouri), born in Thompson, Missouri, who passed away on January 20, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Griffel and Leona Griffel (Moore); her husband James M. Franklin Jr.; her sister Alice Miller; and her grandson Roger "Gator" Tracy.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry "Logger" Franklin (Cheryl) of Hollister, MO and Steve "Shark" Franklin (Tina) of Lee's Summit, MO; her stepson Gary Franklin of Huntsville, MO; her daughters, Diana Duvall (Larry) of Blue Springs, MO and Kathy Tracy (Jim) of Higginsville; and her siblings, Eugene Griffel (Marci) of Braymer, MO, Harold Griffel (Ruth) of Higginsville, Marie Gassen of Higginsville and Beverly Mackie (Bill) of Higginsville. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Preferred Hospice of MO or Central Christian Church - Window Fund.
