In loving memory of Myrtle Beatrice Burns of Higginsville, Missouri, born in Corder, Missouri, who departed this world on June 29, 2024 at the age of 92. Myrtle Beatrice leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lee and Bertha Davidson (Neece); her spouse Vancil Burns; her siblings, Viola Ewing Mallot, Alonzo Davidson and Carley Davidson; and her grandson Eric Strickler.

She is survived by: her friend Myrtle; her children, Marilyn Newman of Warrensburg, MO, Luther Burns of Merriam, KS and Stephanie Strickler (Anthony) of Wellington, MO; her grandchildren, Jeremy Newman (Amy), Justin Burns (Tiffani), Sarah Scharfe (Benjamin), Nicholas Strickler, Michael Strickler, Alexandra Strickler and Matthew Strickler; her sister Beverly Corum of Lexington, MO; and her sister-in-law Shelba Davidson of Lexington, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Higginsville, Missouri.
