He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward H. Rinne and Lillie A. Rinne; his siblings, Bill Rinne and Edith Rinne; his close friend Shirley Smith; his daughter Cindy Swanson; and his former wife Wanda Rinne.
He is survived by : his siblings, Anna Marie Rinne of Higginsville and Ralph H. Rinne, MD of Bellingham, WA; and his granddaughters, Stephanie and Maijken Swanson. He is also survived by numerous cousins, a nephew, three nieces, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Salem United Church of Christ or Kindred Hospice.
