He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Deke and Caroline Deke (Werths); his wife LaVerna Heermann; his siblings, Helen Dankenbring and Donald Deke; and his niece Vicky Palmer.
He is survived by: his nieces, Debra Reed and Betty Schlichting (Jim); and his nephew Stan Palmer.
