He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Shafer Jr. and Josephine "Jo" Shafer (Robertson). He is survived by: his wife Deanna Shafer (Foster); his children, Samantha Tibai (Ernie), Glenna Wilson (Garrat) and Ryan Shafer (Jennifer); his sisters, Sheri Lovercamp (Randy) and Pam Gillilan (Robert); his grandchildren, Wesley Tibai (Ariana), Emmit Tibai, Anderson Tibai, Wrenly Shafer, Kaden Wilson (Brooke Young) and Gillian Blackburn (Carson); and his great grandchildren, Denver Wilson, Warren Blackburn and Lyla Blackburn.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (111 Fairground Ave, Higginsville, MO 64037). A memorial service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made out to the Higginsville Youth Bowling League, or Richmond Humane Society, or Children's Mercy Hospital - Autism Clinic.
