He was predeceased by: his parents, August Niemeier and Laura Niemeier (Fieth). He is survived by: his wife Grace Niemeier of Higginsville, MO; his nephews, Elden Knipmeyer (Vicki) of Higginsville, MO, Clifford Knipmeyer (Bess) of Dupree, Dennis Knipmeyer (Judi) of Higginsville, MO and Leland Struchtemeyer (Susie) of Lexington, MO; and his niece Barbara Struchtemeyer of Lee's Summit, MO. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Veterans Assistance League, to assist the Veterans at the Warrensburg Veterans Home.
