He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Simler and Dorothy Simler; and his siblings, Larry Farmer, Ricky Noel and Jean Snowden.

He is survived by: his significant other Laura Alexander of Hermitage; his daughter Kathy Lovall of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; his stepsons, James Adams (Teri) of Finey, Missouri, Randall Alexander of Nixa, Missouri and Adam Alexander; and his siblings, Jack Farmer of Hermitage, Robert Warren of Blue Springs, Missouri, Judy Baker (Jerry) of Oak Grove and Sheila Hand (Larry) of Nevada, Missouri. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
