He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin G. and Welma (Bohl); his brother Don Held; and his brother-in-law William Homeister. He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Held (Betty) of Hermann and Marilyn Homeister of Tiffon; and his sister-in-law Bettie Held of Morrison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given to Zion-St. Peter's United Church of Christ, in care of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
